Caretaker – Who Owns A Cat? - leaving the country early in February and would like to find a home for my two four year old neutered cats. They were hand reared and are used to  –and rule - two large dogs one Labrador and one Shepherd. I have a large well treed property in a quiet area and very seldom have to shut the windows. Ulysses is a grey tabby and his brother Homer is black and grey with their own individual affectionate characters.

 

Missing Dog: Our Jack Russell has gone missing from Bedford Farm in Chegutu missing since Sunday. She is almost entirely white except for her ears & face are brown. Missing and lost and found

Found Dog: We found an old whitish male jack-Russel cross type dog at 11.30pm last night on the way back from the Bryan Adams concert. He was very lost and disorientated wandering in traffic from one side of the road to the other. Location: on Golden Stairs road between the Nissan dealership and Harare Drive. Managed to pick him up despite his protests and handed him in at the 24hr vet. He was wearing a very old brown leather collar that fell  apart, no tags or microchip found.

 

Found Dog: 3 dogs were found on Bargate Road, Mount Pleasant yesterday.  An adult female toy pom cross jack russell tan and black in colour, a young male Maltese white in colour and a young female crossbreed tan in colour. They are not micro chipped and are at the 24 Hour Veterinary Hospital and will be sent to the SPCA.

 

Found Dog: A young male Bull Mastiff (This type of dog) Light tan Black face wearing a brown leather collar, found on Wingate Road near Rhodesville Ave this morning at 8.00am, very friendly, he is at No 6 Wingate Rd, Phone 07772283523. Lindsay

 

Found Dog: Found wondering on Southam Road, Greystone Park is a tan and white Jack Russell female, aged about 9 months to a year. Docked tail. She has been taken to Chisipite Vet Surgery.

Found Dog: A male middle aged German Shepherd, black and tan in colour was found on the corner of Quorn and Woodgate road in Mount Pleasant.  He has no collar or microchip.  He is at the 24 Hour Veterinary Hospital and will be sent to the SPCA.

Found Puppy: Beautiful female black Labrador pup (+-8 months) old, found near Arundel school. Taken to Avondale Vet (cnr. Upper East and 2^nd Street). In very good physical condition but obviously strayed through the bush because had a few ticks on her. Would have loved to keep him but we have too many ourselves. •

Needing a home and lost

Airedale Terrier That Is Looking For A New Home: We have a spayed female pure bred Airedale Terrier that is looking for a new home. She is four years old. She is great with kids, other dogs and cats. She has developed a liking for the bush and gets out of the security fence on occasion to go wondering on the farm. We have two new puppies and do not want them to be coerced into the wondering activity. RABIES -  a very concerned couple stopped to help a dog that had been hit and badly injured by a car along The Chase last week. The dog was very aggressive, which is a natural reaction when they are in pain, biting one of the rescuers. On advice from the vet, the dog was put to sleep and sent for a Rabies test. The outcome was positive. Please be very careful when approaching unknown dogs (or any animal) and if you do come into physical contact, seek medical advice immediately. Re- Homing Dogs: Due to unfortunate lease dispute, we have had to move out ASAP leaving us with two young beautiful Rotti cross breeds (approx 1yr old), they are both amazing in nature, very well behaved and good with children. Lost Dog: We noticed a small dog perhaps a puppy with similarities to Jack Russell running around Block 7 of Arundel Office Park, Norfolk Road on Tuesday night. The dog was nervous and ran away when we approached. We informed the Security Guards for the UN Compound to be on the lookout. Guards noticed the digs for several days now. Anyone with a missing dog around Norfolk Road should check with the Security Guards. •

Plea To Help Cat: I am putting in a cry for help, last night we took a friends cat to the vet but on the way home not even 500m from the 24hr vet there was a medium sized Ginger female tabby lying in the middle of the road with server dehydration and signs of neglect so we stopped and took Her in to the vet. I was too heart sore to let them just euthanize her just because she has no owner to take care of the bill, so i offered to pay to keep this poor helpless creature alive!
