Horrid stories and lost and found

we had a traumatic day yesterday when out riding, there was a terrible smell and then my daughter heard whining.  We found a sack tied up on side of road off Cameron,  Borrowdale,  inside was one dead dog and one was still alive.  We took both to 24 hour vet who tried to save the 2nd one who had been trapped in this sack for at least 3 days.  The female dog was finally euthinised and is hopefully in a better place.  Thank goodness we found them.   The other was a male and both will be collected and cremated by VAWZ.  What a disgrace that a human can do something like this?

Kerry and I were running this am, and we came across a very distressed dog, what looked like a staffy on Stonechat Lane . I have just come back from being in the car and the dog is still wandering around and looks very lost - if you have lost a staffy in the Greystone area please take a drive onto stonechat lane and save your dog . thanks poz  marcp@frampolmail.com

I picked up a little cross Chihuahua just before Christmas (19th Dec) that was obviously lost and scared running down Arcturus Road during a storm, just about to get squashed...  I took it to Highlands Vets.   2 weeks later some young people came to the vets.  The person on duty was not the vet and he told them to come back when the vet was around, but they were so rude and intimidating to him he surrendered their dog.  They did not even say thank you to the man, the vet, or leave a message for me,   I'm not sure if these people are aware what care and food a dog requires for two weeks, but some gratitude, especially to the vet would have been polite.  I really wonder with people like that why we bother?!  I will continue to rescue dogs that look distressed and from a good home in moments like these and realise most people appreciate good will and love for humankind.
